You can expect a caring, supportive and non-judgemental atmosphere.
When you come in the door, you will be greeted by one of our staff. They will assist you with your appointment. We always play upbeat and inspirational music. We have a cozy counselling room where you will chat with a mentor/counsellor. They will ask you a few questions in order for them to understand and help you better. We are kind and willing to listen. You can expect to be heard. We love you unconditionally. All the information you give is confidential (see disclaimer for exceptions).
MLC is used by young women who just need someone to talk to about any life issues and it is also used by young women with pregnancy related needs.
We believe every young woman should have an opportunity to feel like she can be herself and empowered to choose good life choices. We exist to be a safe and comfortable place for all young women, regardless of their background, needs or past. Although we do have some services that specialize in unplanned pregnancy, we also have several services for girls/young women in general. We have a holistic approach to our services - meeting all your needs physical, emotional, and spiritual.
